Our Story
Brampton Village Pharmacy has served the community of Brampton, Rotherham for many years. In February 2025, ownership transferred to pharmacist-prescriber Raghu Mamindla, bringing a renewed clinical focus and expanded range of NHS and private services to the area.
Previously known as Pickford's Pharmacy, the business has always been a trusted part of the local community. Under new ownership, it has grown into a fully-equipped clinical hub — offering services that go well beyond traditional dispensing, including medically supervised weight loss, travel health clinics, Pharmacy First consultations, and a growing range of private health screenings.
We understand the pressures facing NHS primary care in South Yorkshire. With GP appointment backlogs affecting thousands of Barnsley residents, we are committed to providing accessible, clinically rigorous healthcare that fills the gap — without long waits, unnecessary referrals, or out-of-area travel.
Our pharmacy is based at 63-65 Knollbeck Lane, Brampton, Rotherham, S73 0TW. We are open Monday to Friday 9am–5:30pm and Saturday 9am–1pm.

Raghu Mamindla is a GPhC-registered pharmacist and independent prescriber with over 17 years of experience working across South Yorkshire primary care. His clinical background spans NHS dispensing, Pharmacy First consultations, and specialist prescribing services including weight management and travel health.
As an independent prescriber, Raghu can assess, diagnose, and prescribe for a wide range of conditions — enabling Brampton Village Pharmacy to deliver a level of clinical care that goes well beyond standard dispensing.
